Kankakee County CEO students recently had the privilege of learning from Barbi Brewer-Watson, Executive Director of the Kankakee Economic and Community Development Agency (ECDA). She presented on the topic “The Power of Listening in Confrontations,” offering valuable insights and practical tools for effective communication in the workplace.

During her presentation, Brewer-Watson shared various listening strategies, emphasizing the importance of active listening in resolving conflicts. She guided students through practical exercises designed to improve their listening skills and provided tips on how to handle confrontations professionally.

In addition to sharing her expertise on the aforementioned topic, Brewer-Watson also spoke about her role as Executive Director of the ECDA, offering students a glimpse into her leadership journey and the critical work the agency does in the community.
