Popcorn and Pitch Videos: Kankakee County CEO Students Prepare for Banker Day with Mike O’Brien

Kankakee County CEO board member Mike O’Brien visited CEO class today for a “mini-viewing” of the CEO students’ 30-second pitch videos (complete with popcorn!) Upon viewing each student’s business pitch, he offered insights and feedback to students to help them prepare for Banker Day, which is coming up on March 25.

WHAT IS BANKER DAY?
Banker Day is an annual event organized by the Kankakee County CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) program. On Banker Day, Kankakee County CEO students will:
– Present their business plans to local bankers from Midland States Bank, Peoples Bank, and State Bank of Herscher.
– Seek feedback on various aspects of their business plans, including feasibility, financial viability, startup capital, marketing strategies, pricing, and sourcing of inputs.
– Consider feedback from professionals on improvements to make with their businesses, especially as they prepare for their Trade Show on April 20.
– Gain real-world experience and mentorship, enhancing their understanding of entrepreneurship and preparing them for future endeavors.

Thank you to Mike for his continued support of the CEO program on many levels!
